DEVICHARAN BARUA GIRLS' COLLEGE, the premier institute of Women's Education of Upper Assam is proud to have as its Alumni a growing number of educationists, academicians, lawyers, politicians, literati, social activists, journalist, entrepreneurs, doctors, scientists and the like over the last 64 years.

DCB Girls' College acknowledges the contributions of the Alumni specially the alumni of the first batch (1955) who challenged the patriarchal attitude towards women and education and got enrolled in this newly established institute for women. Starting with only fifty Six (56) students, the college is now blossomed with as many as 1800 students. During this span of 64 years, the college has produced a number of outstanding alumni who act as goodwill ambassadors of the college. As an active stakeholder, the alumni of the college have been incessantly trying to uphold the image of the college and to adhere to its mission and vision.

To make the bonding between the alumni and the college, the Devi Charan Barua Girls' College Alumni Association was established on 24th August 2002. Since inception, the Association has been trying to foster mutually beneficial interactions between the Alumni and the college, to uphold the democratic and inclusive traditions of DCB Girls' College. It holds regular meetings besides special alumni meet for various occasions. The Association has published an edited volume "PRABANDHA BITHIKA" and a Directory of the registered Alumni in 2006 and 2009 respectively. The Association is under the process of Registration as per Society Registration Act 1860.

The membership of the Association is open to the ex-students and the retired faculty of the teaching and non teaching staff of the college. The Association is a non-profit making, democratic and secular association which works for the cause of the society in general and for the College in particular.
